I had a miscarriage last week.. the next day, I lost my job. I go to school full time and was supporting my fiancee and I. Today, I lost the last $20 I had, and I have no toilet paper, milk, butter, eggs, soap.

I can only think of one quick way to get cash, and that is to sell the 30 vicodin that I have. I have pain (prescription for it), but I need the money more at this point.

Do you have any ideas of ways that I can earn quick cash WITHOUT breaking the law??

No, I don't think you understand- I can't get a job. You don't know how many places I have applied to. No one will hire me because i'm short ( a very bs explanation!). And my fiancee is disabled. It's not like we aren't trying. I mean for god's sake, we've sold basically everything we own! I'm not being lazy.

Excuse me, but how would you know anything about whether or not I can get a job. That's nice that "little people everywhere" can get jobs, but I can't. I've gotten turned down (flat out) for a sign holding job, telemarketer, phone interviewer, personal assistant, receptionist, nanny, cashier at Big Lots, McDonalds, Subway.

I'm not picky. I'm trying to have a baby for christ sakes. I can't afford to be picky. I go to interviews and they tell me i'm "just not right" for the job.

Who are you people to judge me? You don't know me.

Oh please, you are not too short to get a job. Little people all over the country are gainfully employed. Maybe you have applied a lot of places but I would guess you just can't find a job you want. Work at a gas station as an attendant, wash dishes, waitress, do telemarketing, sell plasma...the list could go on but there are plenty of jobs out there that will hire people on the spot. Becoming a felon will not help your employment chances.

If you know of a way to sell your meds relatively safely then I
can see it. Also, you could sell your computer, it would bring in some $$. But I can't figure why you would try and have a baby when the fiance isn't working and the whole lifestyle depends on you. That's not a stable environment for a child. If you two have nothing to eat or toilet tissue, what would you be feeding a baby? How would you buy essentials like diapers? It WAS irresponsible to lose the precious last $20 you had.I would have kept it in a totally safe place. No excuse there. You guys gotta get it together. And disabled people can get jobs, too.

Well, I think people would be judging you because you are proposing committing a crime. If you did sell your vicodin what happens after that money is gone? Do you then steal because nothing else is working for you? It is a slippery slope. As for how to get cash, your other answers have given you suggestions for jobs. Other than that you can borrow money from friends or family or take out a loan against collateral you already have. Beyond that what answer are you possibly looking for?? That is all there is.

If you can do it without getting arrested thats up to you.
You need to contact Department of Social Services and see if they can help you. They can get you food and maybe even help on housing.
It's not great but it's something to keep you going until things look better.
Please dont take Vicodin pregnant of course and remember...opiates dont have a long shelp life so if they are like 4 or 5 moinths old they probably arent any good

Darlin, if you're truly that bad off you should go to the Department of Social Services. To sell the 30 vicodin might be difficult for multiple reasons - the most obvious being it's illegal but who will buy them? Close friends, neighbors, random strangers? Know your market and if you trust them then, who are we to judge. Otherwise, I'd go see how welfare can help you get back on your feet for the next couple of months.

If all your options are exhausted, it's time for you and your fiance to make the tough decisions.

Time for each of you to get a job. I wanna be in the courtroom when you're explaining to the judge why you are being charged with selling narcotics (a FELONY.) "Well, I wanted to stay in school, and my fiance also decided not to work."

"GUILTY!!" Your family will be so proud!

Now you have a felony conviction. Once you get out of jail, you'll discover what it's like to have a felony conviction. You are REQUIRED to tell your future employers on the application that you have a felony drug conviction. You aren't allowed to vote, own a gun, you'll probably be reporting to a probation/parole officer for a while...

All because you're too proud to work a register or deliver pizza.

I am sorry for your troubles. Don't sell the Vicodin - that is illegal too. Please seek financial and spiritual help. talk to school counselors, state employment office and even social services. its hard to get in the system but if you persevere they can help you and fiancee. good luck
