Im a really quiet girl. I mostly listen but will talk when someone approaches me. Online i can just easily joke and talk freely but when i talk in person i just get really awkward.

I think that's perfectly normal. I HATE the phone, and I get all flustered in person, but I write a lot and that helps me be able to communicate on Yahoo messenger, etc. Maybe it's because we don't have to look at their face (if we're shy) and there aren't any awkward silences.

Well, with how technology is taking over nowadays, it doesn't surprise me that you text someone more than actually talk. I never text b/c when you text, the person you're talking to doesn't know exactly 'how' you're saying it. You could be meaning it sarcastically, funny, or serious and they wouldn't know. I just prefer talking in person or on the phone. But yeah, it's pretty weird... If you're crushing on someone then you need to talk to them in person a lotttt more. Especially if you would be willing to have a relationship with them. what if you two decide to get married? Will you text or chat online with them from across the house instead of talking?

Honestly, yes that weird. But its natural.Doesn't change the fact that you are human. It only means that you have weaknesses in your speech patterns that are strong on-line. This can be easily solved by pretending you are on line when you are talking to somebody. Just make eye to eye contact and let your mouth work b4 your brain starts thinking too much.

It's not weird. When you are on line, you are making up a person, there is no threat of being rejected.

I can make friends fairly easily in person, but prefer to make friends on line. I have yet to meet anyone I chat with on-line and I like that idea. I don't like leading people on, and sometimes in person they take my flirting (joking) seriously.

i was like this with my cousin, we would talk for hours on end but when she visited it was like we needed a keyboard, i guess it's a mind thing,m like being on MSN everything is silent so you don't hear or see the person and no one else can hear you're conversation so it's a lot different, I even get like this with my bud i met a few times in Calgary.
It get's easier though after you see each other more offline than online

Not at all. It's comforting and therefore normal to speak your mind to someone whom each of you don't know totally well, yet someone whom you can open up without direct consequences (and therefore posing less risk). Even before the internet explosion, if you think about it, anytime we ever got best advice for anything relating to relationships, came from those who were 'outside looking in.'

girl this is only natural.Your somewhat a shy person and let me tell you talkin on the phone can be alot more difficult than the web.plus when you chat it feels like you can get any and everything off your chest.Time will come when you can communicate better in person you just have to have confidence to start you off.

You don't have to talk to them face to face so it's easier. You can think about what you say and if you don't like what you started to type you can erase it and start over. I always end up getting myself in trouble for saying stuff to people online that I would never say to their faces. I even asked out my boyfriend online.

I'm the same way. When I need to talk to people in school and stuff, I just write them notes =]
