psi is the unit of pressure and measures force per unit area. The force (in newtons) entails the quality of accelerating the person you hit with a bat. The force can accelerate but pressure tears apart or hurts.

If your push someone with 5 Newtons force he will aaccelerate (without discomft) but if you pierce him with pin using same 5 newtons - it will be very painful. So the question is area at the contact point of force used.

Now impulse = Force * dt (change in momentum)

dt is time taken to execute force

Pressure = Force/area [N/m^2 or pascal]
----------------------------------------------------
Pressure = impulse/dt *area

if a ball is hit with force and is heading towards a catcher then catcher has the better option to minimise injury by increasing dt during the process of catching by elongating the hands backwards. This will increase dt and minimise pressureof that impulse. Though can minimise hurt by increasing the area at contact point - but then catch may be dropped.
-----------------------------------------------------
1 pascal = 1 N/m^2 = 14.6956 psi
1 atmosphere = 1 atm. = 10^5 pascal

if area at impact is 1 meter^2 then

P=pressure= 112 N/m^2 = 112 *14.6956 = 1645.90 psi

your require impacting area or calculate per unit area.
