Bush said, in his speech yesterday, that Gen. Patraeus said that Iraq is the worst situation that he has encountered in his 30+ years of military service. Bush said that! Patraeus gives his plan a 50/50 chance. This after we were told that the troop levels were probably going to be reduced at the end of the summer of 2005! Now I'm hearing that some of the troops are being sent back into battle after being wounded several times. The troops ride up and down the same roads everyday. They are target practice.
I don't know about you, but I'm not getting a real warm and fuzzy feeling that Iraq is going to turn out too good.

America has supported the shiites for a long time. the situation with iran is political posturing. bush helped ahmaninejad get elected and the rhetoric could help him get re elected. iran helped us in afghanistan. there are many things the main stream media don't report

I don't think anybody knows wth is going on over there. Bush's end goal is beyond me. I can't see it. I've tried a zillion scenarios in my mind but can't understand a single one that makes any sense.
Maybe that is the answer... I have a brain and he doesn't.
Btw, be careful not to fall for the propaganda. Iran, as a valid member of the NPT, has only ask to enrich uranium for energy purposes, NOT to make a bomb...

Whats wrong in Iraq?
Politics and Media involved in combat operations. NEVER a good combination.
Leave war to the soldiers and marines...keep the journalists, politicians and "human rights" groups away!

Majority of the people in Iraq do not want the presence of the US troops because they must leave and need not intervene in their affairs.
