Russian food is good! Its a hearty food! Fresh vegies and fruit are hard to come by so the main staples are: Potates, breads, eggs & meat. Have you ever had Beef Stroganoff? thats russian. Have you tried a beet soup? also known as Borscht! Try it ya might like it! OOOOh dont forget the vodka ( if your old enough)

Russia is a very large country. There are several regional foods but what most restaurants in the US serve as Russian is very similar to food from other eastern European countries. Like Poland and Germany. Hearty foods lost of meat and potatoes.

i ordered a hamburger in a restaurant in moscow afew months ago... there's NO bread! Just the meat! It was abit of a surprise. The locals in the table next door (about 8 of them) all ordered some meat thing covered in a brown/red sauce. Looked good. My friends ordered fish and chicken, very small portions.
