They insist on raising them so high that even they need a step stool to get in them.

I must admit, my Suburban has a lift, but its not an outrageous lift, it is a rather modestly small 2 inch. I personally didnt quite like how low it rode, its an older one (1984) so it sat kinda low stock.

I dont understand the guys who jack their trucks up 12 inches or more and then put $1000's into suspesion and shocks, and even more in tires that are made specificly for off-raod use. 85% of these things wil never leave ashpault.

I can give you an explination, see its these city boys that wanna act like they are from the "country" and they are "hicks" I guess that the new fashion trend. I am from a small town in Kansas, I have my suburban because i use it, I tow trailers, I haul stuff. I need the torque in my diesel engine. these guys who wanna act the part have daddy spend WAy too much on trying to show off, then they look stupid when they break down and aint got the first clue whats wrong or how to fix it.

They dont know how to drive, they are annoying as hell, and they tear up their $1000 tires that arent mean for asphault, so they can run to daddy and have him replace them in another 6 months. but on the bright side, they do make for a good laugh, considering for all that size, my suburban could still out tow them without thinking twice.

IT'S insecurity, as a man w/ several pick up trucks, I see this every day. It used to drive me crazy, but it's all about size. They think it makes up for whats lacking inside, it's very sad, these things are dangerous, turn over, use to much fuel, the tires are not for road use. But I guess it's like the soccer mom that drives the SUV 4x4 Land ROVER the Mini Van I understand. I drive my trucks for my business, I do own a car.

Cause it looks friggen cool!!! It has nothing do with certain inadequacies!! I have both lifted and lowered trucks, so whats that say about my "package"? Some people just like to modify vehicles as hobby and I am one of them, not because we are lacking anything.

It's a lot better than someone lowering a car or truck to the ground... now that looks like crap.

They are compensating for lacking in "other" areas. Guys with big stuff don't need to sit up high to feel superior :-)

They wanted to be a "big rig" drivers when they were little boys, but now they are grown up, they can't pass the drug test.

It's a testosterone thing. Maybe they have small "parts" and are trying to look "big".
