Is this a direct violation of the Monroe doctrine?

Greenland was made part of Denmark in 1953 and was granted self-government in 1979. Denmark continues to excercise control in Greenland's foreign affairs, but only in consultation with Greenland's elected government, which is a parliamentary democracy.

No Greenland was owned a long time before the Monroe Doctrine.

I don't think Greenland is part of the Americas, so the Monroe Doctrine would not apply.

It is self-governed. The Monroe Doctrine did not apply to territories already annexed, such as Greenland, Canada, Mexico.

lol we just learned about that maybe but that was only a doctrine it has to be inforced
