If you have had even one pregnancy before that age, even if it didn't go to term, then your chances of being able to get pregnant and carry a healthy baby to term are twice that of a woman who has had no pregnancies to that time.

But it is certainly not "impossible".

That's simply untrue. Plenty of people over 35 get pregnant without any difficult. Certainly once you reach that point the scales start to tip a bit, but it's not to the point where you absolutely MUST have a baby before then..
Another thing is that after 35-40 the risk for developmental issues in your child does increase, so that's something to be aware of. But even then, most of that is pretty rare as well.

It's definitely not impossible. I've heard of women in their 40s having babies! However the risk of defects such as downs syndrome goes up after the age of 35 but it doesn't mean your child wont be competely normal. My husbands mother had her last baby at the age of 36 and hes normal. Well I actually think hes a little abnormal : ) but from a doctors point of view hes fine.

You can still have a baby after 35, but the risks of having a child born with conditions such as Down Syndrome increase after 35.

The risk that a woman who will be older than 35 years of age at the time delivery faces is an increased risk of her infant being born with abnormal chromosomes. Which means your child can have downsindrum or a mutation. At times, the child can be born healthy. Most people I noticed are saying thats not true, but studies show that it can be very critical.

I know that isn't true. The only thing I heard is that it can be a little more difficult to have a baby after 35, there could be an increase in risk for birth defects. But, you can definitely have a baby after 35 that is healthy and happy! :)

Yeah whoever told you that is a big LIAR. You can get pregnant at any age as long as you have begun menestration and are not in menapause. But the later you do get pregnant you run the risk of a egg losing some DNA which can cause your child to become mentaly slow and stuff. But don't fear you doctor can tell you these things (not really) but if you have faith in GOD maybe he'll give you what you want and need. To bad he hasn't done it for me ( thanks alot grandma).

It's not impossible..I did'nt have a problem. My youngest son is 2, & i'm 37. There's always more risks the older you get, but as long as you don't go overboard (i.e. poor nutrition, not getting enough exercise, or too much, blah... blah) . You know the drill! My 2 yr. old is super healthy & active. Talk to your doctor & see what he\she says. Good luck!
