Either factual or opinion??? I admit I do.
Example : Jimmie Carter, The hostages in Iran. No leadership at all.
Camp David agreement. Magnificent!

Nixon: opened relations with China- Good.
Watergate. Bad.

Seems most people do! All they focus on with Bush is the war. There is much more to his presidency than just the war.

No. I rate them on the following items:

1) Leadership. If a President is to get respect from the other world leaders to the common American citizen, then he should have this skill. True leadership, not just talking from both sides of his mouth.

2) The Economy. The President should have a plan to keep the US economy humming and going strong. Everyone should have the ability to get good jobs as well.

3) The Budget. The President should spend the tax payers money wisely and not like a drunken sailor. The President should remember whose money it really is.

4)The Environment. The President should try to enact policies that will preserve the environment for the next generation and not just worry about just today.

5) Health and welfare of the American citizen. Be this through health care or getting affordable medicines. The President should make sure the drug companies are not ripping the public off or gouging them.

6) Security and safety of the American public. The President should make sure that the citizens of the United States are safe and free from hostile forces from the other nations of the world. This means a strong army and good intelligence to ensure this.

This is how I rate The President. The current one fails on all accounts.

Facts

Example: Jimmy Carter. Reagan committed treason by making a deal with the Iran Contra so they would not negotiate with Carter to make him look weak. Reagan made the deal giving them weapons if they would keep the hostages no matter what Carter but that they would release the hostages the day he became president... the hostages were released on Reagan inauguration day.

You do not base your choices on facts....

No, I have been very political since I was 14 yrs old. I have worked on Presidential campaigns for over 37 years. I know the candidates & the winners. Rating a president on 1 or 2 items will misjudge all presidents. Example George Washington sent his troops with litle food, few tents, no clothes & boot replacements while Washington ate well, dressed well, & lived in a tent. We would crucify a president today for that behavior. President Washington was a good President & not judged by this one event.

Carter tryed a rescue ,the choppers crashed, they moved those people, they would have killed them if he attacked that country he didn't wish that so he did all he could diplomatically but really even though i love the man for who he is I think bombing the country to hell would have worked .and if they died it would have been better for the country but Carter was President and didn't wish them dead,he knew he would lose popularity but he is a Christian and didn't wish death for those people.
he tryed leadership but the congress didn't agree they were against him since he was a governor to President.not a fed
that's controlled by special interests and big business and so many others that control the feds decisions now adays
Carter is a great man and he did much for this country.and the world
I disliked Nixon with a Passion

Not a whole lot of people think Jimmy Carter was a good president, personally I do. He made a few bad choices but which president hasn't?

If your referring to Bush...my opinion, he's made a multitude of bad choices which brings him to the level of crappy. I can't even call him President without having to use quotations when calling him by that name.
