You're 39 weeks, having pains that have lasted more than an hour, the pains are lasting more than a minute and they do not go away if you change your position? It sounds like you're in labor to me.
One thing you can try, to see if this is false labor and not the real thing... lay on your left side for an hour. Drink plently of water. Time the pains while you lay there. Are the pains consistent? Do they go away? Are they getting progressively worse?
Personally, if I were you I would call my OB to see what they think I should do. Your doctor knows your history and how your pregnancy has progressed more than anyone out here. They will be able to help you make the call as to what you should do next.
Good luck and congratulations!

Sounds like your in the early stages of labour. Keep an eye on your underwear for any clear fluid leaks and even keep an eye out for a mucous plug or any red staining. Call your hospital and ask for advice about when is the best time for you to go in, because all hospitals have different protocols about when is the best time to be admitted. Good Luck and congratulations on your little bundle!

Sweetie, please go to the Hospital or you are going to have a home birth!!! If they don't go away when you rest, then it's real labor, especially 5 to 10 min apart!

I have had 2 children and if you are having regular cramping than you are probably having a baby. At 38 weeks you are considered full term, so get ready to go to the hospital.
good luck and congrats!
