Don't ask her unless you are a girl. Just let her know in some way that you would be interested in going with her. Ask her something like.... Do you have a date yet. If she says yes than you are SOL but if she says no than you can say oh me neither.... It sure is close I wonder if anyone will ask me. Are you going to ask anyone? You know be cunning.
