There are many places that are haunted, it just depends where you live, where you are willing to travel to, how much money you want to spend, and you have to remember one thing above all else..... Ghosts don't perform on demand! You can't go someplace and expect to see something. it's like going whale watching...every trip out doesn't promise a sighting...
My husband and I watch the show Most Haunted and it's based out of the UK however they have done some shows in the US, California really... They had a great time on The Queen Mary (It's a ship if you don't know) and I don't know if it's open to the public to spend a night aboard or not but they slept there. They have had sights of orbs, sounds, apparitions, etc however, as I said, it really depends where you want to go, how far you're willing to travel etc.
Look up stuff on the net for areas around you... you might be surprised.
If you live in Canada, try checking out the link for OLN (tv network) and there's a show called Creepy Canada on there... there's a bunch of places around that you can visit to that are free....
And no doubt a ton of places in the US as well...
Good luck, but don't be disappointed if you see/hear nothing... be patient, open your mind, but don't psych yourself up for seeing something and then be disappointed if you don't...or fool yourself into hearing/seeing things that aren't really there.

The Battlefield at Gettysburg or The ship Queen Mary
which is docked in California . Then there is the Winchester
Mansion or New Orleans famous Cemetery.
There are books on hotels that are haunted and on the
internet there are hauntings , called The Shadowlands which
will show you orbs, paranormal activity and even sounds and
video pictures of very haunted places that have been
investigated.

I work in a gold mine in Australia...
We have two underground mines here - the "Magdala" and "Wonga" - the second of which is now closed.
The Wonga mine still contains gold - but so many people were so sure it was haunted and (claimed) to have encountered strange happenings that in the end it was closed because no-one would work there any more!
If you can get into a haunted mine - I'm sure that'd have a good effect! ;-) underground is so dark and different too - that adds to the experience!

I don't know where you are -- but try an old abandoned building where a lot of people had problems -- like a hospital, an orphanage, an asylum, something like that.
