You ask good questions.

Knowing what we do now? I don't think so. The nuclear issue wasn't as pressing as I think he (and I) believed.

He (Saddam) shut inspectors out, and that led him (Bush), and me, to think he had something to hide. It didn't make any sense to kick them out, knowing what we would do, unless he had an up and running program to protect. All other documentation and hints/clue/and supposition only added ammo to what we already thought looked pretty obvious.

We were wrong, of course (and Saddam was an idiot who gambled and lost. Why he did that we'll never know. But we called his hand. We had to).

So would we go now, knowing there wasn't any nuclear weapons program? Being absolutely certain of it?

No. We wouldn't.

But Iran is putting us in the same bind, Chi. How can we know for certain they aren't developing nuclear weapons?

I don't know about Bush, but THe English wouldn't. THey did an analyst and realize they should of went into Pakistan instead and help them placate those in the western region as well as look for Osama BIn Laden. THey said, Iraq was a discraction and now it gave Al qaida time to regroup. I have a fealing Bob Gates would concur, but Bush is a bit stubborn.

It doesn't matter as Bush and Company will all end up in Hades for the lies and deceit that they have committed on this earth. Bush, Rove, Cheney, and the rest of the PNAC chickenhawks will be stoking coal in Hades to keep the fires going there for eternity. Bush should and the rest will then realize that they can't pass through the Eye of the Needle with all their guilt and sins they have committed on this earth.

What could possibly better for war profiteers than a war that never ends? If they wanted it over quickly, they could have also helped all the other nations be liberated of terrorism and/or WMDs. Like Darfur, Sudan, Iran ... hell, we could have invaded anyplace like these and had a quick, low casualty win. Wheres the money in that?

I wish I could do it over again! If I had the chance, America would have NEVER had bill clinton for president because I had put him in a permanent coma back in the '80s!!!!
And we would not be fighting terrorists, suffering the dumbing down of America, and the Presidential office would still be clean and unsoiled, and the libtards would be hiding in their tiny little worlds afraid the sky was falling in private!!!!!!!!.

you bet he would. it is going as planned, believe it or not.

the idea is to occupy iraq, as a place to build bases and then from there take over the middle east.

the attacks on mosques and such were US military "black ops" that were executed in order to justify staying there.

"divide and conquer" is the strategy.
