I personally think these women are living in fantasy land. Their relationship with the inmate is more what they dream about it being versus what it would actually be if he were out of jail and they were residing together. You never truly know someone until you live with them. In their dream world, their relationships seem perfect. There is no fighting or arguing, no cheating, and little or no conflict. It leads me to believe that these women have low self esteem or poor experience in actual non-inmate relationships. These women are also naive and end up being used for money by the inmates. Everybody wants to be wanted by some body, or be in love. Its human nature. These women have not found that perfect man (if he even exists) outside prison walls, so they settle for the lonely convict who tells them what they want to hear.

The women are crazy and the guys users. Those men don't care about themselves much less those galable women who seek them.

I think that it is really really stupid. These guys are murderers and rapists and robbers...who would want to be with a guy like that? A lot of these women have children too...I think that it's awful. They are not only putting themselves in danger, but they are putting their children in danger. What if when the inmate gets out of jail he murders them..or rapes their children...that would be awful. I think that it is a lousy idea and people shouldn't do it. But after all...it is their decision.

A person would have to be pretty desperate to want to begin a relationship with a total stranger who also happens to be in prison. Sounds to me like they need to get out more!

Sad....insecure women who want a man, and are afraid of a real relationship, so why not choose a safe one, and what better way than to pick a guy who is spending life in a state run facility.... no chance of real closeness

I try not to be too judgemental of others...maybe they want the contentment of being in a committed relationship but don't want the physical intimacy (for whatever reasons, maybe she was abused in the past, maybe she just has issues with intimacy)...I just hope that they don't get hurt.

i think they are only setting themselves up for failure by doing that. i would never in a million years go out with someone from prison. don't these women realize that there is a reason why they are there? i guess not. good luck.

To me, it would appear as though these women are afraid of long term commitments, knowing that in most cases these men will not make the type of regular long term commitments that most families' obtain.
