where were you when the world stopped turning that september day?
were you in the yard with your wife and children or working some stage in l.a.?
did you stand there in shock at the sight of that black smoke rising against that blue sky?
did you shout out in anger in fear for your neighbor or did you just sit down and cry?
alan jackson singing about 9/11. everytime i hear it i honestly cry. for all we have lost, and what we have found.
even tho it didn't happen on our continent we felt the pain, the shock, and the horror of it all.
i didn't leave my television set for days. the sight of all those people wandering thru n.y.c. looking for their loved ones, will haunt me forever more and yet i couldn't not watch.
let us all never forget the sheer horror and terror of that day.
god bless us all.

That Lovin' Feelin' by the Righteous Brothers
That song touched me when I was 15 or 16 and it still does today, almost 40 years later!! It is timeless, its about losing that lovin' feelin' and not knowing how to get it back. I will never forget that song as long as I live or the memories it evokes.

I think one of the most tender and sad songs is "My Sweet Lady", sung by John Denver in 1970.
