OK. I know there's this guy on the upcoming team. FINALLY. But, you know? Its just weird. I can suppose all kinds of things to explain it, but if someone would just clue me in, I would be ever so grateful. Thought I might get more real answers in this catagory rather than sports.

I am skeptical of any genetic predisposition theory for two reasons; white basketball players, and diving platforms.

I'm not exactly sure why, but I've been told that people of color have a hard time with swimming. It will be interesting to see all your answers.

I heard (from fitness guru, Covert Bailey, I believe) that blacks have stronger, denser bones, which are great for running, but a problem with boyancy.

This is just averages, though. It doesn't mean all blacks sick at swimming, just that the bones would give blacks an edge on the race track but not in the water. And since the Olympics is about the best of the best, a black man might be a wonderful swimmer but if he's just a tad less boyant would have a decreased chance in making it.

Don't know how accurate that is. Just what I heard.
