Been there, done that. It didn't work out too well. Fans didn't really buy into it. I mean, they are really brothers! People just wouldn't buy a long TV battle. Not like other best friend tag teams who break up.

yeah, they make all sorts of kayfabe(acting or scripted act). even taker and kane fought though they're not brothers in real life. and far as i can remember, bret and owen hart fought once or twice but it's just on show. not for real.
