Since Hanukka is an eight-day holiday, it often coincides with Xmas.

It last happened in 2003. It will happen again in 2008.

Are the other answerers SURE that they asked rabbis?

According to some major Rabbis, here in Mexico City, they have re-assured me that the two holidays do not fall on the same day but yet they are in the month of December.

You must remember that the Jews work with the Lunear year and not with the regular year.

Yes...or at least one of the 8 days of Hannukah sometimes falls on the 25th.

As a Jew I can answer this question from experience. In the previous years, Christmas and Hanukah never ever fell on the same day.

It is rarely that it should fall, but nrmally it doesn't fall on the same date.
