Ok I am 10 weeks and 3 days pregnant and my morning sickness last all day.. For the most part I do not vomit, but for some reason I did tonight.. After I was able to stop I noticed my throat was really sore on my right side. I tried looking at it to see if I could see what was wrong, but kept gaging.. Everytime I gagged however blood come up with the spit.. Is this normal or should I worry about it.. Could I have hurt myself while getting sick. Please anybody help...

I would recommend calling your doctor. It sounds like vomiting caused irritation to your throat. If it is just a little bit of bright red blood, try to rest your throat and (if you can) drink some water. If there is a lot of blood OR if the blood is dark red, you should probably go get checked out.

When I was pregnant with my oldest I had HORRIBLE all day sickness, and I threw up all day every day. My OB was able to prescribe an anti-nausea medication that was safe for the baby.

Also try preggie pops. They are a vitamin B sucker that is supposed to help with nausea...seemed to work with my second pregnancy. I found them at motherhood maternity.

I had the exact same thing from 10 wks to 15wks, i still get it occasionally at 15 wks. i was freaking out but i mentioned it to my doc and he said totally normal. its all the gagging that does it.

i always have plum colored blood. if it is bright red blood call the ob in the morning. No worries about the baby, wont be affected by u throwing up blood.

Your throat may have a little tear in the lining, it's pretty delicate and throwing up all day doesn't help. If your sickness is this bad all of the time I suggest that you see your doc, they may be able to give you something for the nausea. Fudge sicles worked for me, I don't know how I would have gotten through with out them.

If the blood goes away after a couple minutes, then you're okay. As long as you're not actually coughing up blood--in that case you need to go to the hospital. I'm sure you just irritated your throat from vomiting--that's never fun... Hope you feel better soon!! And congrats :)

That happened to me as well. The OB said it is nothing to worry about and it could have been blood from my nasal cavity.
If the blood was bright red it is fresh. Mine was more brown, so it was older blood

I would wait and see if it happens again. If it does, I would call your OB immediately. If it doesn't, then I would mention it at your next appt.
