"•Even so, only 35% of Iraqis want U.S. forces to leave immediately. Two-thirds say they should remain until security is restored, the Iraqi government is stronger or Iraqi security forces are better able to operate independently."
*The same USAToday article: Nice tri, Chi.
Ironically, about the same number of Iraqis want the U.S. to stay (for now) as U.S. citizens who want us to leave immidiately (including Chi, I assume).
I'd like us to leave too, just as soon as the Iraqis do (want us to leave)!
Follow the link to read the whole story.
Good sence of humor Chi, your a decent fellow, certainly:-)
Sorry 'bout the thunder!

The Mahdi military blends in with the close by inhabitants, you could no longer tell them aside. it is not conceivable to declare open city conflict, the harmless casualties might backfire politically and make the conflict greater unpopular at abode and in Iraq, and in all risk international huge. that is only no longer conceivable to do centred strikes against communities that mixture in with the encompassing inhabitants in an city ecosystem. And between the worst issues you're able to do after prevailing a conflict / profession is to tutor tail and leave. everywhere the place the U. S. has had militia fulfillment is the places the place it caught it out and glued it up. i'm speaking approximately Germany and Japan, we invested a minimum of a decade in usa development for each, and now check out our relationships. check out places the place we knock them down and leave: Afghanistan, barren area typhoon, check out the effect of those. you're able to desire to actively advance situations as quickly as you win the conflict, because of the fact the conflict isn't over. struggling with may be, however the conflict for the destiny in politics isn't over.

Because they can, I imagine. Just as we "can" if in fact the tables were turned. Common sense tells us that the Iraqis want the U.S. gone. Bombed out houses, stores, markets. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis dead or about to die. Factional fighting. U.S. troops storming residences, killing indiscriminately, US troops, weapons, humvees, trucks, all what these people wake up to day after day. If it were that great, two million who could afford to would not have fled the country. And some of you may well think its funny or that the Iraqis ought to be glad US troops are there.. But it is obvious they are not. And since some here believe that "we are there to kill our enemies, its tit for tat then. Because they probably think the same thing. That we are in THEIR country and they are there to KILL us. USE common sense. We became ther ENEMY the moment Bush launched 'shock 'n awe'. Use common sense.

There can never be any poll that can give an accurate account of each Iraqis position to the question posed. Stats are done using a small number of the population and it is not accurate or can speak for the millions that live there.

Because most of them belong to the telibonn and are against the coalition forces. As is the so-called civi war is in fact iraq's against alquida and their leader is the same one that had a big reward on his head for training a alquida force near his town and attacking religious places only to take out iraq's was the plan, but not iraq's again iraq's but alquida against iraq's in otherwards Afganistan's alquida against iraq.

For EXACTLY the same reason that probably 83% of Catholics and 97% of Protestants would oppose an invasion of the U.S. by a coalition of Chinese and Russian forces.

The Shiites and Sunnis oppose the US troops in Iraq because they want a government of their own to fight for their interests, religion and administer the oil industry.

I do like the fact that you are now outright admitting to be a propoganda minister, stating your selective editing of articles for left-wing ideals. Comforting to know you are at least partially aware of you motivations and admitting to it in your questions, or, more accurately, statements worded as such.
