After learning more over the years about the wrestlers lifestyle, I am not at all surprised by drug abuse among wrestlers. I'm sure after so long some wrestlers think of them as a necessary evil.

They are constantly trying to look their best and with such rough scheduling and less time to work out, they turn to steriods.

The schedule also means less sleep which leads them to turn to uppers to keep them going strong for match time, and then a need for downers to help them get what little sleep they can.

Also wrestlers live in fear of losing their spots. If you do not perform, then you are not getting noticed. There is no off season for wrestlers. You get injured, you keep going by any means. That means you must be dependent on pain killers.

So when you think about that, it's no surprise at all that so many become addicted.

Not really. When you put your body through what they do for a match we would be on drugs too. When people like Jeff Hardy puts themselves through table from 30 foot ladders it takes a heavy toll on him!

Most wrestlers know that if they are out for a period of time that their spotlight will point to someone else and the stardom will stop to fade. They are paranoid that they will lose their livelihood if they take time to heal and recover. So they take drugs to keep them going.

i think of the biggest reason is because of the fact they have made Jeff's use of drugs so plenty greater public and nicely-nicely-known than that of alternative wrestlers. whilst he became released as quickly as and suspended on some activities, there have been articles and discussions everywhere in the information superhighway. additionally, Jeff gave the ok for heel wrestlers like MVP (then a heel), CM Punk, and that i've got faith side to advance his previous addictions so as to learn warmth. As for adult males like aptitude, Hogan, etc making use of drugs yet on no account getting bashed approximately it, this is because of the fact all of those adult males are icons of the wrestling company, and their repute has a tendency to overshadow the negatives including drug use. it is form of like Michael Jackson. MJ became one in each and every of those superb performer, inspite of the undeniable fact that it is broadly believed he became a molester. yet human beings refuse to truly communicate approximately that form of ingredient because of the fact now MJ is long gone, and all of us choose him to go away us on a sturdy be conscious, so we make it obtainable by making use of speaking approximately how exciting he became whilst he became on the point. BQ- this is a threat. John Cena is especially sturdy on the mic, and he has quite some aura, yet he won't be in a position to attempt against that nicely. human beings bash the crap out of the guy. in line with possibility an identical ingredient is happening to Jeff, merely no longer as needless to say. BQ2- i think of this is precisely why. I already defined the clarification until now in my answer.

No, I'm just kinda shocked by the wrestlers that they mentioned like Edge and Gregory Helms. People like Batista and John Cena were not mentioned and to the naked eye, they don't look totally clean.

Steroids? Not at all.

But other drugs, a little bit. I don't think I'd want a junkie in the ring with me. What if he messed up that leg drop and really busted my face or neck all up. Or what if he wasn't paying attention and I ended up busting him up becasue he doesn't roll away fast enough.

I'm sure they drink, some more than others and more than they should.

But I guess it goes on.
