Sometimes this can be a sign of hormonal changes, breast infection or in some cases, breast cancer. Always check with your doctor.

Hello,

After I went off birth control pills, my period did not return. Since we were trying to conceive, I went to my doctor and had him do a some bloodwork. I would definitely have your doctor check your prolactin levels. Prolactin is a hormone that causes milk production. My prolactin was elevated for unknown reasons (idiopathic hyperprolactinemia is what they call it) though it can be caused by a few different factors. I was prescribed medication and the condition corrected itself right away and my period returned. It hasn't been an issue since as I've been either pregnant or nursing for the last 5 years or so. I am currently pg with our fourth and final.
This is definitely what I would have your doctor check. Also, they should take a small sample of it and make sure it is milk and not some other unknown discharge. If it isn't milk, then they would test for other conditions. Very important to get it checked out though! Take care!

First, I would take a pregnancy test to make sure you are not pregnant. Do you have children? How old? This happened to me from time to time after I became a mother and was told it would go away...It did.
