This is another of those "in plain daylight" answers.
ANYBODY who disagrees with the direction Bush takes is dismissed. Just ask those U.S. attorneys!

Environmental sanctions can be bad for big business (in the short term anyways). Bush likes taking care of big business and doesn't care so much about the environment. The chief of staff serves at the discretion of the president so of course he would follow the administration's instructions on how to spin climate reports. An overly negative (i.e. scary) climate report could distract people from American Idol long enough to vote for someone who might actually do something to curtail human impact on climate change. Such an occurance would hurt the bottom line.

Because he was a former OIL COMPANY LOBBYIST hired by Bush to doctor (falsify) reports on the environment.
Which scientists have known--and been complaining about--for years. This isn'tnew--it's just that now Congress is finally listening.
And, as a member of the academic community--I assure you, this is the tip of a very large, very ugly iceberg.

Because this administration has consistently and systematically tried to silence detractors to fit the ideology - facts don't matter, nor does honest scientific debate. I don't expect much else from a creationist president and his followers.

I read that article you posted. It's troubling that if a person voices any doubt in global warming they are tarred and feathered. That's called Stalinism.
You should watch this video. It shows all the areas where Al Gore lies in his movie. It shows much more too, about the agenda of the environmental terrorists of today.

Because they have DIRECT ties to the oil companies, its what you get when you vote for an oil tycoon who cares more about making a profit on war and oil than he does about the environment and peoples health and most importatly the FUTURE!
