Yes, by far! Even Nixon can't get near him!

Over 400 historians the vast majority voted Bush the worst president in US History!

George W. Bush's presidency appears headed for colossal historical disgrace. Barring a cataclysmic event on the order of the terrorist attacks of September 11th, after which the public might rally around the White House once again, there seems to be little the administration can do to avoid being ranked on the lowest tier of U.S. presidents. And that may be the best-case scenario. Many historians are now wondering whether Bush, in fact, will be remembered as the very worst president in all of American history.

The president came to office calling himself "a uniter, not a divider" and promising to soften the acrimonious tone in Washington. He has had two enormous opportunities to fulfill those pledges: first, in the noisy aftermath of his controversial election in 2000, and, even more, after the attacks of September 11th, when the nation pulled behind him as it has supported no other president in living memory. Yet under both sets of historically unprecedented circumstances, Bush has chosen to act in ways that have left the country less united and more divided, less conciliatory and more acrimonious -- much like James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson and Herbert Hoover before him. And, like those three predecessors, Bush has done so in the service of a rigid ideology that permits no deviation and refuses to adjust to changing realities. Buchanan failed the test of Southern secession, Johnson failed in the face of Reconstruction, and Hoover failed in the face of the Great Depression. Bush has failed to confront his own failures in both domestic and international affairs, above all in his ill-conceived responses to radical Islamic terrorism. Having confused steely resolve with what Ralph Waldo Emerson called "a foolish consistency . . . adored by little statesmen," Bush has become entangled in tragedies of his own making, compounding those visited upon the country by outside forces.

everybody answering this is mostly saying yes but at least half of them voted for him when you could tell he was already doing bad and r know saying bad things about him because they don't want to think it is their fault or have people that voted for kerry say i told you so in a mature way. bush is being used as a scapegoat for America and even though he did do all these horrible things and sent us in trillions of debt, it is still the American peoples fault. This is all just human nature of protecting themselves from a society like ours which preys on each other instead of helping each other.

PS: you may think he is an idiot but that is how he acts so he doesn't have to answer your questions about things like the war and things he wants private. it also makes you think you are smarter than him and he cant hide anything from you which gives you a false sense of security which allows him to do anything he wants and you wont do anything about it. Also, just because you are a c student at Yale doesn't make you stupid because Yale is a tough school and grades are really just how hard you work and not how smart you are because I have a 3.2 GPA in HS but have an IQ of 131 which is great for my age and better than a lot of freshman in my honors classes.

We cannot tell at this time, Bush's presidency isn't even over, Lincoln's presidency at midpoint was extremely similar to Bush's.
To be honest, it's really dependent upon the circumstances and the times. Lincoln for example had some similarities with Bush, yet his presidency is considered one of the best. The winning of the Civil War and being the first assassinated president ensured him into a immortal status as a great president.
Listening to popular opinion as a measurement of success as president depends on the individual president, and also depends on the skill of rhetoric.
As you can see, a lot depends on the personality, and the time line.
If Iraq is a success, in one hundred years, no one will know that Bush isn't looked upon favorably at this time. He will be held as one of the best presidents in history. I personally don't care for the way he deals with things, and I certainly don't like him, but then again to be fair, how many have I known? 10?, and All I know is what the press tells me. Bush is a very secretive person who feels for some reason, that the public is not ready for truths. Public opinion is just that however, opinion.

Absolutely no!! George Bush just happened to be President when 911 happened. All he wants to do is to keep the United States safe from terrorists. He is doing the best that he can. If anyone has better ideas, than they should make an appointment with President Bush and give him their advice.

Yes of course he is the worst by far. I've seen presidents since Eisenhower, and none could come close to Bush for pure evil.
