Help!! I'm 9 days late for my period, did 3 times HPT which all turn out positive (hubby confirmed it), went to two different doctor who told me its negative after doing the urine test (the way they did it is so different; they just dip the stick on my urine for like 3 sec, and didn't even wait for 5 minutes to read the result). The 2nd doc even did a scan on me and said he saw nothing in my uterus. I'm convinced I'm not pregnant, but my breast hurts, my tummy felt bloated, I've never missed my period before, sometimes I feel lightheaded, the HPT I did in the early morning really showed +ve result, my back and shoulder ache badly.. whats my problem? Should I do a blood test? I'm so fed-up with the -ve result.. Is it possible that ectopic pregnancy might be lurking around??

If you kept your positive test results, I would seek a third opinion and take the positive test with you. If they do another HPT test that comes back negative then I would request a blood test so that you can either rest at ease or begin preparing. You may need to be very assertive with the doctor to do the blood test, but let them know that you are willing to pay for peace of mind. Remember it is your body and your health, you decide what test are and are not run. Good Luck!

Ectopic pregnancy is surely possible as is a very early miscarriage in which the otc hpt's would still show positive. It's strange your doctor isn't probing it further. I would wait a couple of wks, take some more home tests and see the doc again. My sister was told by her doc she wasn't pregnant after 2 months of positive HPTs and guess what? She was the whole time for some reason it took so long to show up on the urine test at the docs.

Though I can't explain the negative results, an ectopic pregnancy can explain the shoulder and back pain. If this is the case you need to see a doctor NOW. Back and shoulder pain usually comes in extreme cases. The doctor can run a blood test called an hCG test. I suggest you take your positive test(s) with you and not leave until someone does something about it, your life could depend on it.

Im surprised the doctor didnt do a blood test..usually after u miss a period the test will show up poisitve by now also...If i were u I would go get a blood test done and if it comes back negative then u really r not pregnant. If u are pregnant the uterus wouldnt show anything yet anyways,so that has nothing to do with it...Good Luck..

I would go in for a blood test . This just happened to me. I took 3 test at home all positive then I went to the doctor's office & it was negative. Then I did the blood work & it came back positive. It could be because your levels are low of the pregnancy hormone . I would have that checked too . see if it is going up through out the week . it should if you are pregnant. Good luck

Wait a week, then go back to the doctor. The same hormones that are causing your symptoms should cause a positive pregnancy test. Sooo, if you have a tubal pregnancy, you would still test positive if you are having symptoms. Depending on when you ovulated in your cycle, having a period 9 days late might make you only 2 weeks preggers in which case the fertilized egg may not have implanted yet. Good luck!

What did they say the problem was? I don't know what kind of doctor would let a healthy women go 9 days late without saying the reason for this. I'd call and ask what the problem is in a few days. You also could have just missed a month, Thats happened to me before. But I wish you the best of luck, and call a nurse and see why they think you 9 days late.

I had a vaginal ultrasound at 8 weeks and you ought to be certain the toddler very of course. you does no longer be waiting to pay attention the pulse now nevertheless at 6 weeks. Did they take blood right this moment? in the event that they did it is going to tutor if your HCG is transforming into many times. That way they'd tell if its a many times being pregnant. better than probable in case you had a being pregnant try come out beneficial by ability of now, the dates in all risk does no longer be incorrect. What did they take a %of?
