The only real data around is that every 1500 years there is a warming cycle, then a cool off. And, during those warm cycles, plenty of food, and a huge increase in human population.
There is zero evicence this is caused by humans today. Lots of models with a premise that it is and then a calculation based on a premise. The only real factual data is the 1500 year warm up as mentioned above.
The positives are omitted. More food will be raised, better crops will be achieved further north. The negitives are far outweighted by the positives.
What is really happening is the new is looking and has found a really good "SCARE HEADLINE" and now even the school children think that polution is causing this warm up.
Plain baloney and no facts, and there are 1500 signed weather cosmopologists who agree with me.
Lets work with facts, not a bunch of scare tactics.
I am for getting rid of SUV's totally , and Trucks, lets make those have the same or better has milage as cars. Close the loop holes. Im for rid of the gases in the atmosphere too, but Im not going to be frieghtened by some news article written by an idiot reporter. And those scientists who claim its due to humans, well, those guys arent weather specialists either.

Global warming is a problem (with man hastening the process) . The earth has gone through cycles of global warming and below normal temperatures for millions of years. The last ice age ended about 15,000 years ago and since then, there has been a steady global warming trend. Most likely, temperatures will continue to rise until the trend is reversed and the earth's atmosphere goes back into a cooling mode. People like Al Gore give us the message that the sky if falling, when in actuality, the earth has gone through this thousands of time. Man just happens to be hastening the process a little more. But, there isn't anything we can really do to change things and must go along with the ride.

The almost unanimous consensus with global warming in the scientific community is that it does pose a huge threat to our future. Even though people are still treating it as if it were a conspiracy, it is real. Polar bears may not be dying now, but if warming takes its effect, more than just the bears might be in danger (everglades, for example). The disturbing thing is that even if we stop producing any more CO2 or releasing any into the environment, we cannot stop a drastic change in the sea level, the oceanic chain, weather patterns, etc. We can only try to minimize a potentially devastating effect by not aggravating the dire situation.

Species of many kinds are being effected by global warming. Flowering trees are blooming earlier and are getting out of sync with the creatures that are supposed to pollinate them, beneficial flora in the oceans and streams are dying off leaving "dead zones" where naturally occurring creatures cannot survive. Fish that need water to remain at certain temperatures are dying off as the temperatures rise in freshwater streams. There are studies that say that 40% of the North American songbirds will become extinct by the year 2100. It's enough to make rational people concerned...

if the north polar ice cap were to melt, polar bears would no longer have a habitat and would go extinct.
