Shaq: 3 championships/ 3MVPs, league MVP, scoring title, most dominant ever, true ambassador, liked by all, nice to kids (anyone read the story about him asking where the handicapped ballboy was? the kid was laid off so shaq paid the kids salary and paid for someone to drive him to work... now THAT's A true star who notices the little people. I could go on all day

Kobe: scoring title, won 3 championships (on shaq's coattails), cheater, liar, racist, arrogant, selfish, broke up dynasty, only cares about himself, told on shaq and malone like a little bi***, i could go on all day.

Ok I divided this answer into basketball focus and social focus:

Basketball - Kobe becos he is younger and can shoot free throws. When the game is on the line, u do not want Shaq to be in the middle and get hammered to shot FT. That's y he is most likely out of the lineup at the end of a close game. Yes Kobe hogs the ball a lot but he is still a player u can count on and he is still only 28 ... at least 2 more excellent years left in him.

Social: Shaq has a better record than Kobe in the public and he wants to be a law enforcer after bball. I think he will be great as a face of the public and at least we know what he will do when he finishes his bball career.

Shaq any day because he is a better person. Look how good the heat are doing without wade. Its just Shaq and the heat are still decent considering that shaq is kinda old now plus he got a personality. Did you see the dance he did at the all-star game with LeBron James and Dwight Howard. I was laughing for days plus he was showing his crossover doing the all star game lmao. It was so funny that Carmelo was on the floor rolling. Kobe is fun to watch but I cant stand that arrogant look on his face plus he snitches on people when his in trouble thats not cool.

If we are judging personalities I would definitely take Shaq over Kobe because he seems to be an insolent child. However, at this point in their respective careers Kobe is the better basketball player and I would rather have him on my team despite his personality. Also, in the end do you really think Kobe cares what you or me thinks of him.

Shooters and high-flyers like Kobe comes around ever so often. (think LeBron, Wade, Carter, McGrady). Players like Shaq come around once in a lifetime.
