i have read and reread each of the books already out and cannot wait for the final nook. does anyone have a clue when she'll be done writing it? i just cant wait to see what happens. i love these series so much; if i ever have a daughter her name will be Ayla. shes just such an amazing character. oh please someone tell me its coming out soon?!?!?!?!

Personally, after suffering through reading "The Shelters of Stone," I don't care if there is ever any more books. After Auel included a line that explained to the reader what parallel of the globe they were on, even though no one at that time could possibly know that information, I lost all respect for her as a fiction writer. After "The Mammoth Hunters," it seems as though Auel has abandoned her fiction readers and is writing only for her archeology sources to showcase every single scrap of information she has gathered from them.
