"Coal" you made me chuckle on that part. No it does not make you turn black if that was true I would be the color of asphalt right now. You shouldnt listen to older adults they tend to screw around with younger people because they can get away with it.

I've never heard that in my life. Just use lotion if your skin's turning dark i some spots. Or you can use a bleaching cream with hydroquinone to lighten your skin.
I seriously don't thin kthe showers are the problem. I would bet it's caused by something called the sun...

Uhh, no. I am lightskinned African-American and have not gotten any darker from taking hot showers. Have you been out in the sun? Maybe that could have made you slightly darker, but not the water.

Michael Jackson used really cold water to turn white!! haha jk I don't think that is possible only if the water is really really hot and you get burn with it.

boiling water could cause blisters, and darker scars.
Assuming that you do not shower with boiling water, the temperature of the water will not make your skin color change, unless you are crustacean.

no, I don't think that that is possible. I have never heard of it and I've heard pretty much everything when it comes to skin and stuff.
