Grace Jones was less of a supermodel and more of a fashion icon. The best designers dressed her because they knew that she was at every big party/opening. She was linked to David Bowie (who even now is considered a fashion alpha-male). She was a one of a kind.

Grace was a few years before the term "Supermodel" came about. She was a widely used model in the late 70's (Janice Dickenson days). She turned her interest to Singing around that time and really didn't focus on her modeling as much in the later years. By the standards of the times she was a supermodel (more so in Europe).

She was a very famous supermodel and also a girl-friend of Dolph Lundgren (Ivan Drago in "Rocky-IV"). She is very famous in France, speaks perfect French and is a good singer.
