I need a list of food lewis and clark brought with them as supplies for their journey, not stuff they gathered along the way.

I believe they started off with two large buckets and five smaller buckets of salt, a ton of dried pork, and medicines. It wasn't too clear....

In the early 19th century table food as we know it today didn't exist. My guess is that the explorers took with them was "jerky" which is dried beef,salt pork stored in wooden barrels,and maybe smoked beef,turkey and venison [ deer].potatoes and corn were also possible. Because storage space was limited on the flat boat, Iam sure they brought along a few kegs of whiskey and or ale[beer]. hope this helps you out.
