first of all, maids do not take care of sick people.
nurses and nursing assistants do. they have specialized training in the care of sick people. talk to the nurse who is discharging your dad from the hospital. she might be able to help you.

Look for an STNA home health care worker. They are reasonably priced and they will take good care of your day, My father was in the Vets hospital for almost 2 years and they said he would never come out alive after 18 heart attacks and 12 strokes.. But he did and I took care of him day and night changing sheets and him making meals giving shots pills, bathing him everything, it was ALOT to handle and you will probably need this help.. Its an overwhelming ammount of work to deal with alone. A home health care worker will provide medication assistance, meal preperation bathing, dressing him, and companionship.. Good Luck.. Call your local Counsel on Aging or a Welfare department to find these resources. Good Luck..

Contact the Dept of Aging, they might be able to help you. Tell the hospital you need to talk to a social worker. The social worker should be able to get your dad the help he will need, they know what agencies to contact. They should provide you with nursing care and a homemaker.
