The Fairbanks area is great! Summers are phenomenal, sunny, hot (temps in the 80's and 90's). Great area to bike ride and such.

Winters can be a bit cold... Ok a lot cold (-40 to -50F would not be uncommon). But winter is a unique time. The snow reflects every bit of light including the Northern Lights. There is something about stepping outside and taking that first breath of cold air. Just dress in layers with the appropriate foot gear and you'll be fine.

The schools in Fairbanks are all part of the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District and all meet state education guidelines. And of course Fairbanks is home to the University of Alaska Fairbanks, one of the great campuses of the University System.

There is just so much available, you are just over two hours away from Denali National Park (Mt. McKinley), and there are more things close by.

You might want to do some touristy things when you get there to get the feel of Fairbanks; things like the Riverboat Discovery, and the Alaska Salmon Bake.

Above all live Fairbanks. It is a great town!
