You are so self-focused and anxious right now! Don't worry about all that! Just concentrate on eating right. I wouldn't be gaining that much weight that fast. Concentrate on eating protein (chicken, a little tuna fish once a week--mercury concern, turkey, a steak once a week, at least one egg a day) and pop a prenatal vitamin at that time.
Make sure you eat lots of vegetables.
Drink lots of milk or eat lots of cheese and yogurt.
Cut down on the starch. Eat like 2 slices of bread a day, or a potato. You do want to get Vitamin B-6 and B-12, so you have to eat some starch.
I only gained 25 lbs eating this way for one of my babies, and lost it fast.
Don't eat shrimp, crawfish, anything with monosodium glutamate (read the labels on cans, esp. chicken noodle soup and Chinese take-out food).
Just eat right and forget about it. Oh, and your baby can hear after a couple of months, so start playing Mozart tapes to entertain him/her and maximize brain development (and keep it up after the baby is born--a couple of hours a day should do it!)

Sorry, but you wouldn't have those symptoms so soon. U should'nt gain any weight in the first trimester. The 2nd and 3rd is when you should be gaining weight. The baby smaller than the size of a pea, so the amniotic fluid and baby would not be big enough to make you gain 4-5 pounds. Your stomach should still be the same. You won't feel anything different. At one month, the baby is so tiny. You wouldn't even know it was there. Those are not pregnancy symptoms. Do you have tender breasts? Or better yet, a missed period? So early on , a missed period is the only evidence you would have of pregnancy

I gained 4 or 5 pounds right away. From my 2nd to my 3rd I only gained 1. Every woman gains weight at a different rate. (i read that in baby talk magazine today.)
I was very hungry at first n did eat alot more than usual, your stomach gets harder cause its expanding. Your making room for the baby. Gaining weight is normal.

Well, it's definitely normal to have the "munchies" since your body is kicking into gear and working overtime. Just be careful what kind of food you're eating. And you really don't need more food than normal this early in your pregnancy, you just need to eat more frequent smaller meals so that you always have something in your stomach. As far as your belly being different, it shouldn't this early in pregnancy. Your uterus is still very low in your pelvis. What your feeling may be gas and bloating--that will happen alot. Good luck, and congrats!
