If the deep-seated anti-military bias of 60 Minutes isn't clear to you by now, you haven't been paying attention. This is typical of much of the media, that *ANY* accusation against US military personnel is always treated as a foregone conviction no matter what the evidence (or usually lack thereof). Conversely, they won't so much as raise a whisper about enemy atrocities which are celebrated, boasted over, and even posted on the Net.
There's nothing inherently wrong with bias as such; the problem is their pretense of objective neutrality, which is an obvious lie. Biased sources who admit their bias are at least being honest and letting you know what to expect.

Everyone & all media is bias some liberal some commservatively... Unfortunetly the only time you would get an unbias oppinon would mean sharing equal time between good & negative things & there are good things in Iraq & elsewhere but good doesnt sell as well because it doesnt make half the people mad & want to see how the other side screwed up & it doesnt put the other half on the defensive when its good news or someone isnt to blame. Its a case of its someone elses fault this or that happened & this week it's ?????/

I have to agree, here is a guy who willingly went on public TV and admitted actions that resulted in the deaths of Innocent woman and children, you can tell that he was riddled with doubt, and self blame. And as a result the "dude" was to belittle and degrade this soldier who will for the rest of his life be scared by his actions and the kinds of training that led him to those actions. it's so much easier to blame someone else than to blame yourself(lets just hope that sqt doesn't see it that way). I haven't fought in any of our wars so I can't imagine how I would have acted under that much pressure, and who I would have been surrounded by the people who trained him. At the same time going from house to house tossing grenades doesn't seem to me rational, but in this war I don't know how to define what is rational. I hope we don't end up with another Tim Mcvie

Bias is inevitable, but in theory the media should be unbiased. A reminder to consider that this bias exists when watching the news and make judgments for yourself

It's really hard to be completely unbiased. We all have an opinion and that just naturally comes through in our facial expressions.
