how bad can being anemic be? could it make you have a loss? thanks

Depends on the type of anemia-- if it is just an iron defficiancy, then you simply have to take extra iron and that's no problem. I myself have a type called Thalessemia, which is a problem with the cells themselves. But I have thal. minor, which isn't a problem, it's the major that can be risky. Also, women with sickle-cell anemia could have a high incidence of miscarriage and still birth (my book says as high as 50%). Since the most common kind is an iron defficiency, there is normally not much cause for concern.
