Well, your question doesn't make a whole lot of sense the genre country is subdivided into different categories which includes a category called western.

I like most country including western. I prefer the newer music (80's and 90's) to the older (40's to 70's) music. there are SOME of the "Cry in your Beer" music I like, but most of it is whiny and irritating!

I have Launchcast on my 360 page and most of the music I listen to is called country rock.

I've noticed that I prefer this to the "I'm crying and whining because my girl left me, my dog died, I wrecked my truck and now I'm a drunk" songs!

Hey, that reminds me; Do you know what you get when you play a country song backwards?..................................................

Your girl comes back, your dog comes home, you find your truck in one piece.

Yea, I know, dumb joke. lol

If we're going southern, I'd prefer some kick @ss bluegrass to mopey country-western any day!
