They are SMART because they probably still have sex with their partner, unlike us married guys.

I think that if a man or woman do not feel the need or desire to marry, then they absolutely should not. It throws in a whole other demention. If the relationship is happy and fulfilling to both, leave it be for goodness sakes.
There's nothing wrong with not wanting to marry.
There's definitely something wrong with allowing yourself to be pushed into something, particularly a lifetime committment, that you just don't feel.

Is he being dishonest, implying there might be wedding bells in the future when he has no such intention?
Is he cheating on her.
Is he disrespectful?
- Then he's scum!!!

Is he treating her with respect?
Is he committed to her, even without the paperwork?
Has he honestly stated his opposition to marriage from the beginning?
- Then I have no problem with him.

And about HER!
Does she know his position but think he can change his mind?
Is she holding up on having the children she's always wanted (letting the biological clock tick away) hoping he will marry he someday?
Is she violating her beliefs by living with him?
Does she plan on "tricking" him into marrying him by getting pregnant?
- then she needs to get out of that relationship ASAP!!

I know of at least two unmarried couples where the girlfriend doesn't want to get married, but the boyfriend does.

Takes two to tango, and even more to wed. (Five, right? The couple, plus an official/celebrant and two witnesses?)

Afraid of commitment.
No, really, I don't have an opinion on the matter. Obviously neither care if they are married or not. If she didn't like it, then she would most likely not be in the relationship.

They both need to take a good look at the life they are living, but in all fairness she could move out, and not live with him until she was his wife so it takes two to continue to be in the wrong.

It's fine with me.
Marriage is just a legal thing.

A relationship like that might be stronger, since there is nothing legal to bind them; only love.

Why buy the cow when the milk's free? She's the one who needs to ask herself that question. She's the cow giving the free milk.
