Rectangle Perimeter = 2(length + width)
Rectangle Area = length x width

Square Perimeter = 4 x side length
Square Area = side length x side length

-To find the perimeter of othershapes such as triangles, you's just add up all the sides

Add all of the sides of the shape together.

For a rectangle, it would be l(2)+w(2).
For a square, it would be l(4).

Those two are just some of the basic ones... But as you can see, it all comes down to just adding the sides together.
