I recently Upgraded my ipods hardrive and it starts but it displays a ipod that looks sick and when I try to restore it it says " There was a problem Downloading the ipod software for the ipod. The requested resource was not found. plz help and yes i have an actice Internet connection. Will pick the best answer

Try rolling back the ipod software and downloading it again, this should solve the problem. to do that, first plug in the ipod, then on the main screen displaying the ipod on the computer, click something that looks like roll back drivers or something.

then re install the software and it should work, if not, add additional info on what it's doing and ill reply with what else you have to do.

hi cava3395! well, the sad ipod icon usually means there is hardware failure. maybe there is still an issue with the new harddrive. here is the official advice from apple when ur ipod displays the sad face: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61771

i think you better install the cd of your ipod for you to activate and use again your ipod. it also comes with the troubleshooting and might want to read it from there.
