False positives rarely ever occur, when you are pregnant your body produces a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) and that is the ONLY time is secretes that hormone. Congratulations and good luck, if I may make a suggestion until you see a Dr. you should get some prenatal vitamins from the drug store, they are just like what a Dr, will give you but not at strong.

You are pregnant! The chances of a false positive reading are almost zero -- especially if your friend got the test from the hospital where she works. Looks like you better start planning how to turn that spare room into a nursery!!!! Congratulations!

i would have to say congradulations, you are going to be a mommy. the false positives are rare (unless you are taking some kind of hormone therapy) more often the false test results come in forms of negative when they should really be positive

It should be pretty accurate. Especially considering your friend got it from the hospital she works at. If you're still worried it's not completely accurate, you could go see your physician and take one.
Congrats hon!

it's accurate. there really is no such thing as a false positive pregnancy test because they test for a hormone that your body only produce if you are pregnant. congrats.
