I have 2 oscars and lately all they've been doing is hanging around the surface of the water. Also I bought some comet feeders today and 6 have died and are floating around but not because of the oscars. The rest of the feeders are hanging at the surface as well. Whats wrong with my fish/water?

Sound like they are not getting enough oxygen. You need to do a few things.
1) Do a 1/3 water change
2) Change your filter cartridge
3) Increase the aeration
4) Check the temp - you may need to lower it a bit. Oscars should be ok in the 70-75 degree F range. Anything above that may be too hot.

I hope it works out. I used to have Oscars, they are great fish and have a ton of personality.

you probably need to do a partial water change.you feed them a and they go potty leaving the ammonia wast on the bottom of the tank. casing then to go to the top next they will get hole in head disease( no i did not make that up) test your pH it's prob. below 6.8 and ammonia sky high ! a immediate water change with a declorinator and stress coat will relieve the stress. add some ammo remover to your filter change every 4 weeks carbon 6 weeks, floss or pad 8 weeks along with a 20 to40 % water change every 2 weeks they will be real happy ( don't over feed !)
