there is a short (about 20 inch long) tool available for this pourpose. it is plastic and very flexible with little backward facing prongs. you just thread it down the drain and pull it back. several times may be required to clear the drain. it is usualy hair stuck on the cross peices of the drain that build up in the tub drain. the plunger idea may work but you will have to get hold of the hair when it gets pulled back through and pull the rest of it out.

If it's still more or less working, I've found a gallon of bleach poured down there will make it work better. Sometimes you have to use two. I use it in my kitchen sink all the time, too. If it is actually clogged, not draining at all (you said slowly draining, so I assume not) then don't use the bleach, if it stands in the water it can fill the whole bathroom with the smell, which will eat your sinuses, and is very bad for pets and children.

You can put baking soda down the drain (dry) and then after you have pushed quite a bit down there, pour vinegar over it and let it sit overnight. In the morning run hot water down the drain for several minutes and it should be faster. This might need to be done more than once depending on how much gunk is in the drain.

That's easy man. Get one of them drain snakes. They go all the way in and pull out all the stuff in there which is mostly hair. Make sure to wear gloves when you do it. They are a great tool. Don't trust those chemicals which claim you can just pour and it clears it. Although it isn't futile, the drain snake is truly your best bet.

Pour some bleach down the drain once a week. That will keep it draining. This advice was given to me by my plumber.

I am married to a plumber and he will tell you DO NOT USE Liquid Plumber or any of those products, they don't work and you will have to snake it out anyway and if you have to call in a plumber or do it yourself you will have to go through all of that crap to! Don't use a snake unless you know what you are doing or you could damage your drain pipe. Call a professional, watch him do it, maybe next time you can do it yourself.

Good old fashion baking soda, pour it down, wait wince it through, Janola works great too, pour it down and wait If it's a mass of hair pushing something like a wire down and jiggling it will dislodge it if all else fails get the plumber to check for roots further down the pipe

Use a snake, but you have to go through the overflow. the round thing at the top of the tub.....Will not go through the drain itself, too many bends............

Good Luck.......

it depends!! if it is nasty stuff that is clogging it up then try pouring ammonia down the drain and let it set!!! try the procedure a couple times and that should do it!! REMEMBER BLEACH AND AMMONIA DO NOT MIX!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO ONE OR THE OTHER!! NEVER NEVER DO BOTH!! if it is just SLOW then i cant help you there, sorry!! try looking up a plumber and see if he can do it if it is just plain SLOW!!

hope this helps and GOOD LUCK!!
