FlowEasy drain opener available at Lowe's. Contains concentrated and virgin sulphuric acid. My guess, it is hair. I'm not sure what bleach is going to do or ammonia or Dawn soap for that matter.
It won't hurt your pipes unless they are metal then letting it sit in the pipes to long could burn a hole in it, just follow the directions exactly. If it is hair the hair has to go away, plunging will help temporarily but won't remove the hair. Trying to remove the hair physically I'll compare to trying to pick up a spilled bag of rice with a pair of tweezers, possible, but? If this stuff doesn't open the drain up, there is another problem.

Tub drains, catch hair so easily, and tend to clog all the time. A "ZIP-IT" tool, from Lowes or Home Depot, costs less than $5, and will work with very little effort. It has barbs, that catch the hair, and removes it as you extract the tool, from the drain. It is fast, simple, and cost effective. Acid based chemicals, can cause more harm than good. Good luck!

Put a wash rag over the overflow and hold tight.
Close the drain.
Fill the tub with a little water and "Dawn Soap".
Open drain and use a plunger.

I have found that vinegar and ammonia are the best, not the stuff in the store. Pour a half cup each, let set---then run the hottest water you can for 20 minutes. If still sluggish, repeat.
These are natural ingredients and won't hurt the drain.

I have found that bleach works well. Just pour it straight down the drain. The best time would be when no one will be using it for 5-6 hours.

two things, the tub has a trip lever and unscrew the 2 screws and pull the whole thing out, next get you plunger and a rag and plug the hole where the trip lever was and put some water in the tub and start plunging , but pull not push, might have hair in it, or just get some hot hot water and pour down drain, , dont use liquid plumber, it just creates a problem and could burn your skin
