Scared due to skipped periods?
I haven't had my period after 2 months. Last month and this month. I'm worried. All I had this month was SLIGHT SLIGHT bleeding with brown discharge. This went on for 4 -5 days. Was that my period for this month?
IM 14 and a VIRGIN

Have you been stressed? Eating differently? Exercising differently?

ANYTHING could have caused you to miss two periods. Girls usually don't get on a regular cycle for nearly a decade.

I would relax and just enjoy it!

Honey if you are a virgin you are not pregnant. Sometimes, especially when you are young your period comes and goes. Some months you might have it..some not..some heavy..some light. Yes, the slight bleeding with brown discharge...most likely is blood. But why are you so afraid to ask someone about it? I hope it isn't because you're afraid someone will confuse asking about it because you don't understand it all and asking cause you're afraid you're pregnant. Even if that was the case, you would need a Doctor's care for both you and the baby so that wouldn't or shouldn't stop you.
If you don't want to discuss it with your mom (she'll understand cause she's a woman, isnt she) then ask the school nurse.
Don't be afraid, don't stay ignorant of things that are happening to your body. Education in all areas is the best you can do for yourself. So go ask.

My periods were always irregular ranging from18 to 42 days, with many skipped ones, for no apparent reason. The one sure thing was that they would arrive at the most inconvenient times. All this changed when I went on the pill a month before I got married. Then I would predictably start three days after taking the last pill, it was great.
However, when I went off the pill my periods were just as irregular as ever. I found out that my mother and grandmother had never been regular either. So there could be a genetic connection.
As bothersome as your situation is, it sounds normal. If you have major concerns maybe you could talk to an adult you trust, who, if necessary could arrange for an appointment for you to talk to a nurse or a doctor. Best of luck to you.

It's not unusual, especially in the first 2 years of getting your period, to skip periods or to have an irregular menstrual cycle. Illness, rapid weight change, or stress can also make things more unpredictable because the part of the brain that regulates periods is influenced by stuff like this.

Some girls always have irregular periods; others get theirs every 28 days like clockwork. Many are regular most of the time, but occasionally skip a period or get an extra period during times of pressure or stress.

So how can you tell when you're about to get your period? If you're not regular, you'll want to pay attention to the clues your body may give you. These include:

back cramps or stiffness
heavier breasts or breast soreness (this will happen after ovulation and before you get your period)
headaches
acne breakouts
disturbed sleep patterns
mood swings

If you're not taking birth control pills, you're not pregnant, and you're not having other symptoms such as stomach pain, then it's very likely that your irregular periods are part of the normal changes that can happen when you're a teen. At some point as you grow, your cycle will probably settle into a recognizable pattern. This should happen by 3 years after your first period.

Other thigns to wathc for ,,,,,,Some teens may develop irregular periods - or stop having periods altogether - as a result of a hormone imbalance and some women have irregular periods because their bodies produce too much androgen, which is a hormone that causes increased muscle mass, facial hair, and deepening of the voice in males and the development of pubic hair and increased height in girls. High amounts of androgen can also cause hair growth on the face, chin, chest, and abdomen, and is sometimes associated with excessive weight gain.

If you have one of these problems, or if your periods are irregular for 3 years or more (or for other reasons), the doctor may prescribe hormone pills or other medications that will help regulate your cycles but, Iw ould not worry about this, just yet.

In the meantime, if your periods are irregular, try keeping some pads or tampons in your backpack, just so you'll have them handy in case your period comes when you're not expecting it!

First of all, go to a doctor and have yourself checked. It could be possible that you are stressed. Try to relax and do some exercise. This could regulate the blood flow in your body :) But then again, it's still best to see a doctor:)

I wouldn't be concerned about it yet. I am like you. Some times it can be stress. Wait and see what happens next month. If you still have concerns go and talk with your doctor. I hope this helps.

Hmm... it sounds like you could just be overly stressed.
I say, if you continue to miss it, tell your mother and have her take you to see your physician.
Stuff like that can be scary, but just relax and you'll be fine.
