OK, Anomaly. Let's get a gay man to be involved with the women of your family. Are you recommending that they endure the shame and disruption that will occure when he can no longer deny who he is? Or worse, if he were to bring home a disease?

They just do.. There comes a time in your life when you realize that you are responsible for creating your own happiness. If one of the couple chooses not to tell his parents..the relationship can still survive...It's only when the partners start lying to each other that problems begin.

If anything, the relationship should be primarily based on the feelings of Abe and Bob. If Bob's parents know and are understanding all the better. If Abe is not ready to tell his parents, hopefully Bob is understanding. Abe may one day be ready to tell them, it may just not be now.
If the relationship is just starting; the parents knowledge/acceptance is not what is needed. It is a mutual understanding of each other.

If Bob's parents won't tell Abe's parents they are dating (or gossip about it in anyway), then they can hang out as Bob's house as friends (if he still lives with them). And just make sure to not show affection in public (where it could get back to Abe's parents) until the point in time when Abe is willing to tell his parents he is gay (which I don't know the situation, but it's often best to wait until you are completely independent).

If you are in college, room together. It's pretty normal. If you live on your own just don't tell them until you are comfortable with your life. You could never tell them, but they will guess something is unusual if their kid never dates. And they may not accept asexual as an answer.

well, if abe is open to everyone but his parents, it seems as though it would be pretty easy...they justdont bring Abe's parents into it until Abe is ready.

if he was out to ONLY bob.... their relationship would probably stay behind closed doors for a while until Bob eased Abe out into the public eye..... it would probably get better as Abe discovered him self more and more.. blah balh bblah...
