Specifically, I'm referring to Kill The Rock although I have tried with Shut Me Up as well.

Bear in mind that I love MSI and - up until a week or two ago - was a cheer dancer. I enjoyed both, but gave up cheer dancing due to 'politics' between the SV (Senior varsity) and my squad - the JVs (Junior varsity).

I know the lyrics aren't really appropriate, but the beats and the fact that they're usually short, sharp and fast - I think - might work....

Badly worded I'm sure, but think about it.

Wow... I was expecting people to tell me to fk off, that MSI and cheerleading don't mix or similar stuff!

That's so cool that other eople think the same, whoop whoop ^_^!

Mmmmph.... both Emo-Chan and Dawnwalker make equally valid points.... if I could choose two best answers, I'd choose them!

However, I can only choose one and I can't make my mind up which one.... so it's up to YOU folks!

I agree that the music part will deff work for that kind of use, but i don't think any lyrics will go well or not offend most people. I love them but even at parties i've tried playing them and had complaints that people don't like the lyrics, or that they sound "offensive". So i'd think twice about using them in a cheer dancing routine

I think so. It does have the beat, but it's also a matter of whether the school will even allow such music. I think it would still get the fans to move a bit (Shut Me Up's a GREAT song for this btw)

I love mindless self indulgence too! I think without the lyrics they would work. They are such great songs to dance too. No one else I know likes MSI. Its so cool I finally found someone else.

i agree, its got the energy and fun
edit - i always thought that "quick and to the pointless" by queens of the stone age could work very well in cheer dances. especially with the girls saying "yea yea yea yea!" lol
