Okay so I got an RS4 clutch, new chip, miltek exhaust, new diverter valves, ghb blow off valves, and cold air intake. Everytime I gun it and it gets into higher revs it makes this reaaally annoying screeching noise like a dentists drill or something. I also noticed it makes the noise at higher revs when the gas tank is full. Anyone have any idea whats up?

Its been running well (74k miles), sometimes i just feel like i'm not getting the power I had expected.
My pops has an RS6 actually, it does rule quite hard but I love my s4 and I just want to cure its ailments.

thats about where the B5's turbos start to go out (that mileage), and it does sound like the turbo issue, but Vwvortex.com would be the place to ask. theyll know for sure.

and man youre lucky, the RS6's are seriously bad machined. a friends uncle had a 650 hp one. such a monster/sleeper. His was the avant also :)

for willis C:
Turbos CAN be very reliable. The B5 S4s came stock with a twin turbo setup that just happened to have the actual turbocharger be pretty unreliable. None of his mods are all that odd at all.

And MANY MANY MANY manufacturers ARE going to turbos in everyday cars. all modern diesels , all of subarus, many audis and VWs, some porsches, some BMWs and mercedes, the SRT4 neon, and zillions of other cars are all turbocharged from the factory now.

and under your logic, why would we eat tasty foods? THey dont nourish us better than bland, inexpensive foods. Theyll just make you fat. Why not drive a 1985 volvo 240 DL? Why have any car with over 60 hp? why buy cool looking furniture when you can buy used, cheap stuff for less, and it does the same job?

and there arent rules against how quick youre allowed to get to the speed limit. And there are places called race tracks where you can drive well over any posted speed limit. And dont even try to tell me you have never broken the speed limit in your life.

Stop being an idiot.

You may not realize it but Audi and all other euro cars require European grade engine oils and NO valvoline ever. This limits you to only engine oils that carry the VW/Audi spec numbers 502/505 on the label. Euro gas and oil are different from ours. Mobil One 0W-40 is one of them. The official Audi oil is Ravenol and there are other Euro oils like Motul. Total energy from France. Liqui-moly and Pentosynth. Turbos are made to aircraft specifications and with the right aircraft spec oil will simply NOT wear out. Audi has Oil Spray Jets and oil pressure control valves for both heads. Shitty wax based oil ALWAYSales tar coke sludge and wax. Then BAKES it into engine parts like turbo bearings where it is excessively HOT. It is NOT the turbo. But BAD oil that ruins things. I had two perfect Audi Turbo cars that had ZERO turbo issues because I used only Euro spec oil in them. Even AMSOIL makes a proper Audi oil good for 25 k miles between changes. You can use Amsoil Power Foam to remove COKE

The chip requires a higher compression turbo boost. You need to replace the turbos with an aftermarket part that can provide the level of boost the new chip wants it to. Coming from a previous Audi turbo owner, I would strongly advise you not to put any that on your Audi if you care about the longevity of the motor. You will likely destroy your motor bearings as the lubrication system in that motor was not designed for that type of power. If the S4 isn't fast enough... get you an RS6.... grrrrrrrr

Maybee if you "import tuner" guys didnt install all these stupid mods that no ones ever herd of you're bearings & so forth wouldnt be failing. If turbos were more reliable I'm sure the avg joe would have one under the hood of his car. Anyway you dont need a turbo to reach posted speed limits. Sounds like you all have a bunch of money to throw away so I'm sure you'll figure something out.

at 70k miles and beyond, the stock s4 turbos are in need of replacing.
recommend picking up with rs4 ko4s to go along with your other goodies.
