Luck has nothing to do with it. Finding a great relationship is a matter of doing a handful of things right:

(1) Only getting into a relationship to start with when you are mature enough to handle it, when you are ready and willing to compromise and be understanding, and when you have dealt with your "emotional baggage" so it won't get in the way of having a successful relationship.
(2) Recognizing what kinds of people are right for you, and only dating those people.
(3) A willingness to walk away from a relationship that becomes unhealthy, or when it is clear that a person isn't right for you.
(4) Not pinning your happiness to being in love. The best relationships always seem to come along when you are at a point in your life where you wouldn't mind at all if you were single, and you are enjoying your life and pursuing things that make you happy independent of other people. You cannot be happy with someone else if you cannot be happy by yourself, because you have not learned to be a complete and happy person on your own. You have to have happiness to share it with another.

Love is something that isn't forced; it is something that comes when you least expect it and in forms you didn't realize at first.

Someone that is lucky in love would be open to the possibilities. But much of that has to begin internally. You can make yourself unlucky by being in that mindset. Take a look at what's stopping you from being in love; ask yourself if that blockade is really there at all. Many things that hinder love can be overcome.

I'd like to think that many things will happen for a reason; those reasons might not be realized at first. Don't despair when one door closes, because that's usually when a window opens.

You will be a thousand different answers from a 500 hundred different people. It all depends on which side of the line they are on when you ask them. So I am going to try to straddle the fence on this one. If a person feels that they are loved, they can feel that nothing can keep them down...thus a "lucky" feeling. Thence comes the term feeling lucky in love.

They know what to look for in people. Its not really that they are lucky, it is that they have a better understanding of who makes a good partner.
