Jeans aren't really going to shrink that much. Demin is a pretty strong fabric so it holds out under most conditions but I still recommend drying it on low.

If you just wash the polo on warm/cold for light or cold/cold for dark and don't dry it or dry it on extremely it's barley going to shrink so I wouldn't worry to terribly much about it.

If you are really worried check the fabrics etc in it. It should tell you whether or not it's preshrunk. Cotton is going to shrink on any high heat so just stick to little/no heat on it and you'll be fine.

I doubt that they are preshurnk. So I would buy them a little too loose. You might buy one product yourself and try it out before you buy more. Cotton is a product known to shrink a lot. Usually the preshrunk items cost quite a bit more. As far as the jeans go, if they are bleached out then they are preshrunk--stone washed, etc. Most companies have a return policy. Keep the receipt and if the item shrinks too much, try and return it.
